How to choose a professional wax warmer?
The choice is based on three essential criteria:
- Capacity: The 800 ml format is the versatile standard. It allows you to treat several clients without constantly refilling.
- Thermostat precision: A good device must maintain a stable temperature to prevent the wax from becoming too liquid (burning) or too thick (difficult to work with).
- Reliability: In a salon, the device stays on 8 to 10 hours a day. Choose robust models designed for intensive use.
At Fille au Pluriel, our wax warmers are designed to support the real rhythm of salons, with progressive temperature rise, good thermal inertia, and reliability suited to intensive use.
What power should you set your wax warmer to in a salon?
There is no universal setting, as the ideal power depends on:
- the type of wax used,
- the quantity in the tank,
- the desired heating time,
- the device's power.
In practice:
- Use a higher power for faster melting at startup,
- once the wax is melted, it is recommended to lower the temperature to maintain a smooth and stable texture.
The goal is not to heat strongly, but to heat correctly. The wax should be fluid, but not run like water; it needs to stick to the spatula.
What's the difference between a cartridge wax warmer and a pot wax warmer?
- The cartridge wax warmer is designed to accommodate roll-ons. It allows for quick, clean, and even application, ideal for large areas.
- The pot wax warmer (800 ml) is intended for strip-free waxes or strip waxes in pots. It offers more versatility and better quantity management.
In a salon, both are complementary and meet different working habits.
How many wax warmers are needed in a treatment room?
The number of wax warmers depends on:
- client volume,
- the techniques used (strip-free wax, strip wax, roll-on),
- the treatment room organization.
For optimal working comfort, we recommend at least two devices per treatment room:
- A pot wax warmer for strip-free wax (sensitive areas).
- A cartridge warmer (or a second pot wax warmer) for leg/arm wax.
Having two devices ensures you never keep a client waiting while wax is heating.
How to maintain a professional wax warmer?
Maintenance ensures the longevity of your investment:
- Daily: Clean drips with our Fille au Pluriel cleaner while the device is still warm.
- Protection: Always use protective collars to prevent wax from seeping under the tank.
- Prohibited: Never scrape with a metal object and never immerse the device.
Can your wax warmer be used with a timer?
On our 800 ml model, using a timer is possible to anticipate heating before the salon opens, provided there is supervision upon arrival in the treatment room. Always check the compatibility of your power plug.
Important: we advise you to never leave a device heating without prolonged human supervision.
How to choose a wax warmer suited to my needs?
To choose the right model, ask yourself the right questions:
- Which wax do you use most often?
- Do you work mainly with strip-free wax, strip wax, or roll-on?
- What is your work pace in the treatment room?
- Do you need versatility or speed?
It all depends on your waxing volume in the treatment room:
- Low volume: A 400/500 ml wax warmer may suffice if you only offer eyebrow waxing, for example
- Medium to high volume: The 800 ml format is essential for handling appointments back-to-back without running out of melted wax.
What is the Fille au Pluriel silicone pot used for?
It's an essential accessory for demanding estheticians. Its intelligent design offers 4 major advantages:
- Hygiene and time-saving: It allows you to change strip-free wax in the blink of an eye without multiplying devices. Once the wax is cold, it unmolds in one motion!
- 2-in-1 design: Its unique flower shape is not just elegant; it serves as an integrated collar to protect your device from drips.
- Precision: Its scraper edge allows you to perfectly dose the wax on the spatula, while its internal graduated scale ensures rigorous stock management.
- Aesthetics: Its marbled pink color gently and femininely defines your treatment room's visual identity.
